Is it true the only facial hair allowed for cops is a mustache?

Yes.

They only allow mustaches. Is it true the only facial hair allowed for cops is a mustache?
It depends on department rules and at times if you are uniform or not. There is no one ';set rule';Is it true the only facial hair allowed for cops is a mustache?
thats odd

prolly depends on the state cuz law enforcement that u probably see in the street is the reserved power for the state...

cops suck *** by the way...
Depends on where you are and what department you are assigned to. Uniformed Officers in my town cannot have any facial hair except mustaches, but detectives can have beards.
Uniformed police, under-cover police could be the Harley-rider next to U at the stop light.
not true if you look closley you will see pubic hair on most cops faces as thier mouths very much resemble asss holes
It all depends on the agency. The agency I work for allows mustaches that dont go past the corners of the mouth or obscure the lips. You can wear a full beard with a medical waiver.

I've seen where agencies that have middle-Eastern men on the force are now allowing turbans and beards, usually in conjunction with religious beliefs.

Plainclothed officers usually have to maintain the same grooming standards as uniformed officers unless they are working undercover and then they are allowed grooming standards that allow them to blend in to the surrounding where they are currently working.
